After uploading a show to the LMA/etree section, I hit the "Share my Files" button and a pop up window appears saying "Please wait for the identifier assignment to finish".

I've never seen this before, is this normal?

Normal, no; common, unfortunately. The usual solution is to leave off the last part of the identifier and hit submit, then we can change it for you later.
